Not not sound, not not see, not not touch…
In NOIR APPARENT there isn't much, but just enough to ask how much more can be taken away. A few daily sounds and familiar objects fill the stage – a radio, a carpet, a big wooden table... – before they are covered. Sometimes, to add is a manner to take away. Silence is technically obtained by cancelling all audible frequencies by adding their exact opposites. Even if absolute silence does not exist, we nonetheless experience the absence of it. NOIR APPARENT plays with how things appear in their negation. Through contrast things appear as a negotiation between being seen, heard and felt or not.
