On a blackboard, I draw with my right hand and simultaneously erase with my left. The presence of these two actions on the same surface and at the same time stages a number of small events that can be interpreted differently depending on the distance and speed between one hand and the other. The signification of each action (tracing and erasing) changes relatively to the manner in which each hand is neighboring, distancing or encountering the other. Meaning depends less on what each hand is doing and more on what they produce together. As the performance unfolds, these simple actions reveal a strange timeline: chronologies are affirmed, canceled and run reversed.
